MAINTENANCE OF GRAPHITE AND COMPOSITE RACKETS
Dear customer of Wilson,
Although innovations and advances in racket technology have made racket maintenance easier, there are basic precautions that Wilson recommends to adopt to maintain a graphite or composite racket.
Fibre materials are not immune to damage. Collisions with hard objects or the court can cause cracks in the racket frame or it to brake.
Scraping the racket head continuously against the court may cause the racket head to become worn and weakened due to the wear of the fibre material. Lines on the racket head mean that one should seriously consider their playing style.
In addition to the racket bumper, one should also use head tape (Wilson art. WRZ522800) to reduce damage and wear on the court.
Always use a racket bag outside the court to protect the racket from accidental damage. Keep your racket in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Extreme heat, cold, moisture or sunlight can damage the racket and strings. It is also advisable to avoid keeping the racket continuously in the car, where the temperature can vary greatly.
The proper stringing of racket is essential. When stringing is required, always use the services of a stringer with sufficient experience. Always follow the stringing strength marked on the racket. Incorrect stringing can create tensions in the frame that reduce playability, racket durability and the lifetime of the strings.
By following these basic rules, you can greatly extend the lifetime of the racket and be content with the playability of the racket.
The manufacturer does not give warranty on the racket string set.
A broken racket frame is not subject to warranty coverage if it has detectable signs of contact with another hard object.
Have a great game,
WILSON SPORTING GOODS CO.
